Did you know, the Valdez Arts Council is one of the only councils in Alaska that does not pay its staff?
Instead, we’ve elected to use the budget we have to pay our performers and bring the arts to Valdez. The board puts in many hours handling the logistics and financial details of brining something to town. We really need a hand with the “on the ground” details. Volunteering can be anything from making brownies for our fundraiser, painting signs to advertise the show, driving performers to/from the airport, or really stepping up and holding a board seat. Simply put, there are large and small roles available for anyone interested. All of it really helps us tremendously.
